Our Process

Wondering how we work? Here’s the lowdown on how we serve our training and consulting clients.

While no two projects are alike, we apply a standard approach that helps our work progress efficiently and effectively. That way, we ensure we’ll get the job done on time and within your budget.

DrawingDiscovery – First, we listen and get to know your biggest volunteer program challenges, constraints, goals and aspirations. During this conversation, we’d like to hear your preliminary ideas and may offer some new ideas of our own. This consultation is free, and you’re under no obligation to contract with us.

DrawingProposal & Agreement – Once we have a good sense of your needs, we’ll put together a proposal that outlines our recommended strategy, a proposed budget, and a general timeline. You’ll have a chance to review and request changes that we will incorporate into a final Scope of Work. We work closely with our clients to arrive at an agreement that meets their organization’s contracting and payment guidelines.

DrawingAction Plan – Next, we develop a work plan that includes the project tasks, with time estimates for each. Every month, we will provide an updated work plan. That way, you can see how we are progressing, where we have saved time and where we needed more time. Our goal is to offer a transparent process you can trust.

DrawingLaunch – If your making big changes at your organization, it’s important that your key stakeholders are kept in the loop. People are down on what they’re not up on. So, we help build buy-in by developing communications messages, emails, and slide decks that we can use to explain how the project will benefit the staff, volunteers, organization and community.

DrawingImplementation – Through regularly scheduled check-ins, we gather feedback and input from you as we design and implement your project tasks. We strive to engage our clients in an ongoing dialog throughout the length of the project, so that we can learn together and make adjustments as needed.

DrawingClose Out – Our projects often include a comprehensive mix of many materials. Rest assured, at the end of the project, we pull everything together into tidy files, so that you can easily share and find each document when you need it. We’ll also conduct a quick project de-brief so that you can focus on your next steps.
